Because of the rise in COVID19 , we will not have in- person worship this week. The determination to meet again in-person will be made by the Session as they consider infection rates, hospital capacities, current guidance, etc. and seek God's guidance together. We are gathering via Zoom on Sunday mornings and an email bulletin with links is available.

Letter to Congregation

Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
In consideration of our call to care for one another and our community and in light of the recommendations of the CDC, the Session of Eusebia Presbyterian Church has approved a motion that Eusebia Presbyterian Church congregation stop gathering physically together until the Session determines it is wise to do so.
While we may not gather in body, we will certainly have the opportunity to gather in spirit as we pray for one another and share worship resources to use at home. These resources will definitely include a suggested written liturgy and may include other media. We may even have the opportunity to gatherer virtually! (more later). Resources will be sent for those studying Revelation together.
All meetings of groups in our building and Eusebia groups which gather outside our building are canceled for this time period.  You may continue to give your offerings by sending a check to Eusebia Presbyterian Church, 1701 Burnett Station Rd., Seymour, TN 37865. If you cannot get out to get groceries, etc., please let us know and we will see what we can do to deliver items to you.
If you have pastoral needs, please let Jean know! If you would like to talk, please call. The pastor's tender loving care fund is available to you if you find your funds are getting low at this time. These funds are distributed anonymously through the pastor.
Some of you will continue to work and/or at home with your children and we pray for God's protection and for the energy you need in stressful times. We pray for wisdom for decision makers and for God's peace and presence. We pray for health and healing.
Our mission statement says, "We believe that we are called to grow in and share God’s love. We, Eusebia Presbyterian Church, are called to continually enhance the lives and faith of our members, visitors, and community through our mission efforts emphasizing wellness of body, mind, and spirit." It is in that spirit that we make the decision not to gather physically for awhile.
One of the things we often find hardest to do in this day and time is to practice Sabbath...that time when we let go of everything and trust God with our day to day lives. During the season of Lent, we often try to find time to spend time listening to God, being in God's presence, and reflecting on the life and ministry of Jesus. We have been blessed with time to do that. May it be a time of refreshment and new life.
Let us take care of ourselves and one another, keep in contact with one another through email, phone calls, and social media, and pray for each other.
Your sister in Christ,
Jean
